[opensuse-kde] Which Qt graphics system to use?
Are my assumptions sane: X11/render: most stable but not too much performance Raster: reasonably stable, more performance OpenGL: highly experimental, sometimes unstable I cannot start a KDE 4.7 session with OpenGL system, raster works fine, but I had some issues with Firefox 6 that hung sometimes with some tabs opened. So I switched back now to X11/render. Would you say X11/render Qt system is the most stable? Does the Qt graphics system have any impact on KDE eyecandy that uses OpenGL? My KDE eyecandy has good performance, it doesn´t seem to be slower with X11/render as Qt system settings. True that.

X11 is the most stable one, KDE apps still have problems with the raster backend.

OpenGL performance depends on two factors: quality of gfx hardware, quality of gfx driver.
