I've added a number of applications to the 'Favourites' section in the kickoff menu. How do I:
a) remove unwanted entries? b) change the order they appear in?
The right click on the gecko option to 'Edit Applications' does not include 'Favourites'.
It is quite complex and perplexing. Try <rt-clk> on the "favorite". -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Thank you Patrick. That answers a). Any ideas on b)? Or do I remove everything and then add what I want back in the desired order? Seems rather clunky given that there is already a nice menu editor provided. - -- Bob Williams System: Linux 3.11.10-21-desktop Distro: openSUSE 13.1 (x86_64) with KDE Development Platform: 4.14.1 Uptime: 06:00am up 2 days 13:26, 5 users, load average: 0.00, 0.04, 0.10 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.22 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAlRPjqUACgkQ0Sr7eZJrmU7AlACghdbDNQhEN5q9p/B3aKWmYIug KbwAn2Vk+x3X12hrMOmjmTOpliflJhgW =pm62 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Providing you've unlocked widgets first, you should be able to click and drag entries to move Favourite applications into whatever order you want. Peter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Well, that's what I thought, but unfortunately, it doesn't work here. As soon as I try to drag an entry up or down the list a 'No entry' sign appears next to it. - -- Bob Williams System: Linux 3.11.10-21-desktop Distro: openSUSE 13.1 (x86_64) with KDE Development Platform: 4.14.1 Uptime: 06:00am up 2 days 13:26, 5 users, load average: 0.00, 0.04, 0.10 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.22 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAlRPlHcACgkQ0Sr7eZJrmU5ZEwCfWKuCL2v4qnhv3oN31r1JmQNr gyIAnifrl0bLboXH4YfKIJPFSsLaEEDl =J8Zz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Weird. Works for me on OS 13.1 / KDE 4.14.2 as well as on Tumbleweed / KDE 4.13.3 and on Factory / KDE 4.14.1 (both in VirtualBox). Did you try it as another user? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Holding left-click and dragging (no waiting needed) and I was able to move the favourites around. My widgets are locked too. When I drag a favourite item, a horizontal line appears at the new location. Releasing the LMB places the item in that spot. openSUSE 12.3, KDE 4.14.2 (KDE:Current/openSUSE_12.3) Alvin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
