Hi, all -- I would like to get back to my cd conversion project, in which I am converting all of my CDs to MP3s (OGG under consideration; both performance and portability stories welcome), but I'm having trouble finding anything to use for the ripping and encoding! I have a stock SuSE 8.1 install with KDE 3.1.3 added on. Surely someone else out there must be ripping and encoding... What are you using? How did you install it all, and from where? TIA & HAND :-D -- David T-G * There is too much animal courage in (play) davidtg@justpickone.org * society and not sufficient moral courage. I have found Grip to be perfectly adequate. It comes with the SuSE CD / DVD in the multimedia / CD section. You may need to d/load extras like bladeenc etc for the ripping/encoding. Cheers Jim David T-G wrote:

So I have learned. There is a useful section of help pages on the Grip website :-) www.nostatic.org/grip Jim David T-G wrote:
