[opensuse-kde] kwin performance fixes for 4.7.2
There has been some work in improving kwin performance. Some of these improvements will be in 4.7.2, although some will have to wait until 4.8: http://blog.martin-graesslin.com/blog/2011/08/rendering-at-60-frames/ Is 12.1 going to have KDE 4.7.1 or 4.7.2? If it is 4.7.1, would it be possible to backport the 4.7.2 fixes for the openSUSE release? -Todd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

We'll ship 4.7.1 but of course we'll merge fixes we found important. openSUSE should just allow upstream bugfix releases as regular updates. On Dienstag 30 August 2011 14:15:32 Ismail Donmez wrote:

We do allow it. The question is always whether the amount of work to release an update is worth it - and thus sometimes it's easier to just backport a small patch.
