Repeating characters in xterm with SuSE/KDE
Hi All, Anyone has seen the problem of repeating characters while typing on SuSe/KDE? It is very annoying to see multiple letters getting typed when you intend to see only 1 :( e.g: if I want to type "less" it comes as: lllllllleess any KDE setup I can tweak to get this issue resolved? Hi Manju, hi everybody, You should find the settings here (default): Control center -> Peripherals -> Keyboard (x) Enable keyboard repeat Delay (660 msec) Rate (25/s) Have a look here, too: Control center -> Regional & Accessibility Keyboard (tab) To find that, it is possible to use the "Search" tab at upper left side of the Control center window, entering "keyboard" in the editable field... I suppose you checked these settings, but never known, I write this anyway... Patrick

Hi Manju, I had this effect independed from the settings in Control Center, but while running ksensors. After getting rid of ksensors the repeating of keypresses or also hanging in Shift on Ctl key was gone. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 700m running with SuSE 10.1 and KDE 3.5.3 Level "a".
