i think the first point, that the launchers disappear after starting the application, is a design decision: http://aseigo.blogspot.com/2011/08/more-minimalist-panels-off-to-berlin.html as to no pager, how many virtual desktops do you have enbaled? if only one, as explained in the above blog post, the pager isn't supposed to show anymore. you can't 'change' from or to one desktop, after all. -- phani. Carl, check bug reports. I put this in a few days. Can't remember the bug#, sorry. BTW, a log out will fix the problem in the short term. Phani, the issue is that launchers disappear even after an application is closed and never reappear, unless you log out.

ah, i didn't notice that (don't use those launchers). actually, for me it doesn't even disappear after starting the app, but i'm on KDE:/Distro:/Factory...perhaps also worth a bug. but i think this is under active development right now and might change soon. -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I found a little interesting situation with the default launchers (dolphin and firefox) I switched to 2 virtual desktops When I first login and if I use one or both of the default launchers, they disappear. But if I then click to the other virtual desktop, the launchers re-appear and after that they never disappear after use. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Hi Carl, I think the first point issue(launcher disappear) was fixed in upstream. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=262487 They seems the same problem. -- Best regards, Max -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I also noticed that occasionally a closed application leaves a ghost of it's previously open status in the task manager.
