only truetype fonts selectable
Hi folks, this time in english ;-)) Sorry for the last post in german! Well, I have a small problem with SuSE 8.2 and the original KDE. I did a plain new install. After I activated truetype fonts in KDE-controll-center, I was not able to select any other font! The look of those aa-truetypes is very nice, but I can't select any 'Adobe *'! But this is only in KDE! If I start xfontsel, everything is fine!!! What do I have to do to reach _all_ fonts in KDE??? Chris -- Christoph Dohmen ChDohmen@gmx.de

Chris, You kinda have a jump on us with 8.2! None of us here in the states have it yet! :o) Don't know if this will help or cure your problem though, but have you ran qtconfig in a shell as user and maybe set the font path there? And not sure what you mean when you say you start xfontsel and all is fine? Do you mean all the fonts are available to you at that point? Almost sounds like the font server is not being activated. sounds like the font server is not being activated. Why using a seperate font server? I configured X to use freetype ...
