Suse 8.1 Kde 3.1.4 quanta 3.1.4-18 Quanta has all of a sudden ceased to be able to use ftp utls. ftp works in the cli and in Konqueror. this with several sites in my bookmarks. Typing in a fresh url doesn't help. Any suggestions or thoughts -- Bob Rea mailto:gapetard@stsams.org http://www.petard.us What do you say to Jesus when he comes again? Where have you been? it's my favorite fax backend and it's not in 9.0! Is there a package for Suse anywhere?
Don't hijack threads, it's not polite, start your own. On Tuesday 24 February 2004 07:19, Eric Jahn wrote:

if you still have them from your old installation somewhere, copy them somewhere in your path, e.g. in /opt/kde3/bin if you don't have them anymore, just get them at the authors website. i forgot the address, google will help you here. You need the script 'fax' and the binaries 'efax' and 'efix', that's all. They haven't been updated for a long time, probably because they are working so fine. I don't know why SuSE does not include them, maybe to promote their hylafax ..., but for a single user efax is too easy to not get the preference. HTH, Matt
I have not found one, but the folks at eFax told me to set my eFax profile on your eFax aacount at the eFax website to send fax's to you using .tiff format then SuSE and all other LINUX/UNIX OS's will be able to read and print them.
