The fact that on my installation Rekonq is English instead of German, even though I never manually set it to English. Rekonq is fully translated to German in SVN (since I am one of its translators I know for sure ;) ) See: http://bayimg.com/calpoAACd The German parts are the independently packaged Konqueror KCMs. Markus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Yes, you are right. Changing repo and updating gives me the same error you have. Some menus localized and the most in English, although the .po in rekonq source (checked in OBS) is 100% translated. Changing apps language didn't work either Regards, Luiz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Markus Markus,
I am not questioning if SVN is fully translated or not. I just packaged what comes with the rekonq-0.4 sources. Did you ever compiled the released 0.4 soure, to see if it is a packaging error or maybe that an older version of the translations has been shipped with the 0.4 sourcecode ? My system is complete in English, so I would not be able to test this. If it is indeed a mistake in the sourcecode, then we could request maybe a new release of 0.4 with the updated translations. Alternatively I could create a tarball from SVN, however this one I can only place in Playground as it is not officially released. Just downloaded the source archive: German has a single string not translated. Italian two strings. Spanish is a bit worse with 28 untranslated strings, but that should still result in an app that's 78% translated. The files in the archive are all dated to be from last Friday -- the day of the release. So no secret re-release of the source with updated files. Maybe the names of the translations changed and your packaging script didn't pick them up and somehow used old files? Same seems to have happened for K3b where the SC 4.x port never had language files in the source archive (until K3b 2.0 RC2) and Build Service reused old KDE 3 language files

Playground btw has an outdated Rekonq version. You may want to delete it (Amarok, too). Markus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Dear Markus, I am not doing anything else than just to run cmake, make and make install. This installs (or should) install everything in the way the developer has intended it to be installed. The spec file afterwards is just putting all the installed files into a rpm file. And believe me it will indicate if certain files are not packaged. rekonq never used a separate source file for it's translations, so it is impossible to reuse it as it never existed. K3b was a totally different story and with the 1.91 release it is using the latest translations. But please check the package on the OBS server and submit any change that you might see fit. Also I wonder if you tried to compile the package yourself to see if that makes any difference. It is easy to blame the packager if something is wrong, but did you ever validated that the source tarball of 0.4.0 is delivering anything different ? Fwiw rekonq 0.4 from kde4:factory repo seems to work fine with Danish translations. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Markus I checked a little further the po files in the source tarball and this is what is indicated:
"POT-Creation-Date: 2010-02-21 07:01+0100\n" "PO-Revision-Date: 2010-02-21 12:25+0100\n" "Last-Translator: Panagiotis Papadopoulos <pano_90@gmx.net>\n" "Language-Team: German <kde-i18n-de@kde.org>\n" "MIME-Version: 1.0\n" "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8\n" This is the German translation included. This means that the Official 0.4 tarball has been released with outdated translations, which are causing the issue that you are indicating. So having cleared that this is not a packaging issue, I will add the latest status of the translations to the package. That version is the same as I have and Lokalize is still reporting all but one string to be translated. That's because even the 0.4beta release was almost fully translated. :-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
