[opensuse-kde] How to add an application ot the panel in KDE 4.x???
Hi Folks, I want to add a program button to the KDE panel. However, this is not as easy as it was in 3.x. As fr as I can see, I can only add widgets tp the panel, and in this widgets I don't find any program buttons as Eclipse, XEmacs or Kmail. Under KDE 3.x it was possible to add complete program menues to the panel. E.g I have added Eclipse as a menue, and in this menue contained three different Eclipse programs. How can I add applications seen with "kmenuedit" to the KDE panel under 4.x? You can add applications to the main menu and to the Desktop widget. The main menu is the menu you are looking for. HTH, Chris -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

If I understand your need... browse to the program listing in the menu, right click the program, select add to panel from context menu. Hope this helps Joe Cook -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Alexander Look for a plasmoid called Shelf. You can access the menu, add applications and more.

Unblock widgets, and drag&drop the application's icon to the panel. Cheers, -- Javier Llorente

I am just curious, how many mouse clicks and how much screen space does it take to "unblock widgets"? d. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
