[opensuse-kde] Patch for Lancelot launcher under QT 4.5 and 4.4.4
There are serious problems using the Lancelot application launcher for plasma with Qt 4.5 and 4.4.4. For instance, the favorites and applications section do not show anything. It has been patched in trunk for a while, but it will probably be a while before a new version is out. In the meantime, the people at Gentoo have backported the fix to the current Lancelot version and the patch is now available for general use. It would be great if openSUSE also incorporated the patch, since Lancelot is pretty much useless in its current state. Bugs.gentoo.org is apparently down, so I can't check the patch myself, but I trust Alexis' judgement (comment #1) that the patch is a hack, and prefer to wait for a proper fix in Qt or the patch to enter a Lancelot tarball rather than spend time adding patches then removing them later. Will
As a FYI for the blank applications and favorite section problem . . .
I was able to make them appear. I clicked in the blank area and played
around with the arrow keys on the keyboard until everything appeared.
