Newbie - KDE crash on switch to tty window, DSL disconnects in process
All aspects of the 8.2 installation appear functional, however I have had KDE "crash" several times (but not consistently) on entering CTRL-ALT-F2 to jump to my tty1 session. Basically, the tty1 window appeared for a moment, and would not accept any input, and then would jump back to a new login prompt on window #7 (the GUI window). In other words, the original KDE session died in the process and I was presented with a GUI login window as if I'd just booted up. An artifact of this problem is that *whenever* this happens -- or whenever I re-login to KDE -- my DSL connection drops. (The DSL connection works in all other respects, stays "up" indefinitely, but the moment I experience this KDE crash, or just logout & rel-login as a new user, the connection over DSL is lost). Before I attempt a clean install, any ideas?
