Hi all, A quick update. It turns out I did need to update qt3* from http://public.planetmirror.com/pub/kde/stable/3.1.2/SuSE/ without the update I experienced disappearing vertical scrollbars. See KDE bug http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55848 I am still seeing what seems to be an unrelated problem - kdeinit occasionally takes up over 80% CPU when preloading I don't know how to reproduce this, so I'll let it go a day or two before filing a bug report.
