Same here but I don't care too much :) You can add *your* favourites apps to favourites, Right click on item in menu... not sure if you need to unlock objects I'm on another system now. That's a known problem with the migration of the kickoff Favorites: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356398 (Kickoff has been modified in 5.5 to use the same backend as Kicker, to ease maintenance, fix bugs and bring it to the same level feature-wise, therefore it also doesn't use kickoffrc any more) I submitted the fix to KDE:Frameworks5, but if you already have the problem, the fix won't help you. You have to recreate your Favorites in that case. And the recently used program list disappeared because of the backend switch. Kicker uses a different system for that, based on kactivities, which also allows e.g. showing the history for *each* application when you right-click on one.
