Hi I just upgrade my system to SuSE 9.2 Pro, and I am having trouble with GTK application who used to work flawlessly. To fix the problem I've being running the following command at the beginning of my session /opt/gnome/lib/control-center-2.0/gnome-settings-daemon & I read this thread and it seems that this is not the best thing to do, it has been suggested to create a link between some files I runned env|grep GTK and this is the output GTK2_RC_FILES=/etc/opt/gnome/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:/opt/gnome/share/themes/Qt/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:/home/heberto/.gtkrc-2.0-thinkeramik:/home/heberto/.kde/share/config/gtkrc GTK_RC_FILES=/etc/opt/gnome/gtk/gtkrc:/opt/gnome/share/themes/Geramik/gtk/gtkrc:/home/heberto/.gtkrc-thinkeramik:/home/heberto/.kde/share/config/gtkrc GTK_PATH=/usr/local/lib/gtk-2.0:/opt/gnome/lib/gtk-2.0:/usr/lib/gtk-2.0 as you can see there is no .gtk-2.0-qtengine listed in the RC_FILES, on the other hand I have installed the following apps: (rpm -qa |grep gtk) gtksourceview-doc-1.0.1-3 libgtkhtml-devel-2.6.1-3 gtk-1.2.10-882 gtklp-0.9u-2 gtkam-0.1.12-2 gtkmm-1.2.10-301 libexif-gtk-0.3.3-308 gtkdoc-1.2-62 gtksourceview-devel-1.0.1-3 gtk2-themes-0.1-636 gtkglarea-1.2.2-893 gtk2-devel-2.4.9-10 gtk2-2.4.9-10 gtk2-doc-2.4.9-10 python-gtk-2.2.0-3 gtkhtml2-3.2.2-3 gtkspell-2.0.5-58 gtk2-engines-2.2.0-400 gtksourceview-1.0.1-3 libgtkhtml-2.6.1-3 gtkhtml2-devel-3.2.2-3 gtk-devel-1.2.10-882 gtk-engines-0.12-960 gtk-qt-engine-0.5-9.2 and the only .gtk* file that I have in my HOME directory is: (ls .gtk*) .gtkrc-1.2-gnome2 which contains the following: # Autowritten by gnome-settings-daemon. Do not edit include "/opt/gnome/share/themes/Raleigh/gtk/gtkrc" include "/home/heberto/.gtkrc.mine" I have tried to link some gtkrc files to some .gtkrc-SOMETHING but this does not produce any effect. I have no idea whatsoever what to do to fix the problem, I need help. Hebertp
