[opensuse-kde] How to acces the kdebase sambamodule from kde4?
Hi, As Linux shares cannot be accessed, without setting the right options from this module, and it is not in KDE4, what is the name of the kde-sambamodule, to call it from a terminal? Without the proper setting this module: grant guest logins, a password requester prevents to access the share. And as there has not been set a username nor a password, ( i would not know where, if the module is not accessible..) no username or password would ever let one in.. :( -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball (Now or never...) This is what I have: kcmshell --version Qt: 3.3.8b KDE: 3.5.9 "release 51.2" KDE Control Module: kcmshell --list will list all modules. kcmshell kcmsambaconf - A module to configure shares for Microsoft Windows kcmshell fileshare - Enable or disable file sharing The fileshare has a bug where top portion of the screen is garbled and not accessible. -- Regards, Rajko. kcmshell kcmsambaconf - A module to configure shares for Microsoft Windows kcmshell fileshare - Enable or disable file sharing
The fileshare has a bug where top portion of the screen is garbled and not accessible.
Garbled? Well, than it will be no use trying to access it then.... Many thanks for these commands! Maybe i have another version.... Indeed i have, oddball@AMD64x2-sfn1:~> kcmshell --version Qt: 3.3.8b KDE: 3.5.9 "release 13" KDE Control Module: but, these are not available here. So KDE4 samba pulls only kde4 pkgs. I will look for them in factory.... Is anybody going to look at this? -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball (Now or never...)
