Hello SuSE KDE people, I am sight impaired. All of my fonts are pretty large so that I can read them, except for Firefox and other GTK applications. I am talkingabout the fonts in the task bars, menus, etc. In my personal settings > Appearance > GTK styles I have tried using the "Use my KDE fonts" and other variations. To no avail. Nothing changes. I remember back in about the 9.0 days there was a file or something you could download or edit or something that you could change the appearance of theGTK stuff. Is there some equivalent was to do it now? Bob S -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Look at the font part of it, and check what your screen dpi is with kinfocenter ( sometime lcd screen are able to >120 dpi) take this value and report it inside the gnome-control-center font.(which by default is set to 96dpi) Also in systemsetting after putting the gtik style use my kde fonts in ... you must logout and relogin . -- Bruno Friedmann (irc:tigerfoot) Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Also in systemsetting after putting the gtik style use my kde fonts in ... you must logout and relogin .
Thanks for replying Bruno. My LCD is in fact set higher in dpi. I set it to the proper value. Then I changed my font sizes and they were good in Firefox. But, that changed all of my KDE font sizes back to their default. Changed them back again to what I could see well and that changed the fonts back to small fonts in Firefox. Tried it both with Use my KDE fonts and with the GTK fonts checked. Same result. Seems one will not work without interfering with the other. And yes, I did log out and back in of X with each change.
