kde is messed up with NVidia driver
Hi All, I am using 2.6.11.4-21.8 kernel with suse linux 9.3. I have installed nvidia in the following manner,
Still the background looks like messed up (pictures are blurred!) Thanks in advance for any help. Raihan
This problem is used to a bug in the latest nvidia driver: NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7667-pkg1.run Just install an older version, let's say NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7667-pkg1.run, or wate for updates. I did downgraded to NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7667-pkg1.run and it's ok here greetings jorge El Domingo, 7 de Agosto de 2005 18:01, Syed Mamun Raihan escribió:

Hi Jorge! Did I miss something? So you suggest, because 7667 is buggy to downgrade to 7667 (btw: 7667 is the latest availiable one)? I don't understand that. By the way, I run 7667 just fine. So if it's a driver bug then it's only with some nvidia cards. I have a 6600GT AGP. Just to mention. Best, Daniel Am Sonntag, 7. August 2005 18:32 schrieb Jorge Luis Arzola:

Yes, it's only with some cards, not all. I had the same problem and had to downgrade to 7174.

I repeat, you have to install an older versiones of the driver, cause the current one is buggy. Also, the exact coomand is sax2 -m 0=nvidia and no sax2 -m -0=nvidia El Domingo, 7 de Agosto de 2005 18:01, Syed Mamun Raihan escribió:

You say "still"? does that mean it was "messed up / blurred" already without the nvidia driver? Then please check if you did configure your monitor and resolution correctly. For example, if you have a LCD monitor, or a notebook, you must set the correct resolution. Using a wrong resolution will not scale nicely, resulting in a blurry display. HTH, Matt
