Hello, list I have just upgraded kde to 3.2.2 and noticed that kmix from kdemultimedia3-sound package have gone:
zgrep bin/kmix /home/distr/ARCHIVES.gz ./CD1/suse/i586/kdemultimedia3-sound-3.1.4-41.i586.rpm: -rwxr-xr-x root root 5259 Nov 5 03:37 /opt/kde3/bin/kmix ./CD1/suse/i586/kdemultimedia3-sound-3.1.4-41.i586.rpm: -rwxr-xr-x root root 5275 Nov 5 03:37 /opt/kde3/bin/kmixctrl rpm -q kdemultimedia3-sound kdemultimedia3-sound-3.2.2-3 rpm -ql kdemultimedia3-sound | grep kmix
Is there any alternatives ? What should I use instead ? Thank you -- Andrei Nigmatulin GPG public key ID: 20ECA204

kmix is in kdemultimedia3-mixer Just in case you also look for kscd, it's in kdemultimedia3-CD. Both packages can be obtained from the kde supplementary folder. I use SuSE 9.0, I don't know about other SuSE versions. If you are updating/upgrading via YAST and a program is missing, use the search and check 'provides'. In most cases that'll give you the package the desired program is in. If you don't use YAST, you can do a similar thing with rpmfinder for example. Cheers, Sabine
