[opensuse-kde] dialing into UMTS connection fails with KDE networkmanagement applet
Since about two weeks I have no success to dial into UMTS connection fails with networkmanagement applet. The only obvious problem I found so far is in /var/log/messages : Apr 1 17:43:45 linux-weoj modem-manager[918]: <info> Modem /org/freedesktop/ModemManager/Modems/0: state changed (connecting -> connected) Apr 1 17:43:45 linux-weoj pppd[1782]: Plugin /usr/lib/pppd/2.4.5/nm-pppd- plugin.so loaded. Did it work before? What openSUSE version are you using? Do you use any additional repositories? Are you using the NetworkManagement plasmoid?

See subsection "Debugging NetworkManager 0.8 and 0.9 3G connections" in section "Other NetworkManager Debugging" of http://live.gnome.org/NetworkManager/Debugging Maybe there is something wrong with the PPP settings. But when I see your dbus errors, I doubt it.
Using nm-applet to dial in seems to work.
Then, I would open a bug report after trying the things in the section "It's All KDE's Fault!" of see http://userbase.kde.org/NetworkManagement

No suprise when dbus rejects to send the initialization messages. X-) Gruß Jan -- There is no such thing as a "free lunch". (only a choice of restaurants) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
