Kicker consumes too much cpu time
Hello list I am using a SuSE 8.2 box, a have upgraded to KDE 3.1.3 and what I can see is that the kicker is using 60% of CPU time. Is that normal or is there something I can do about it, because it slows down the system very much. Tanks, Zsolt

No, that' s not normal. Where did you download KDE 3.1.3 from? Ciao, Oliver -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/QN1P2xKg64Yci0URAsZ8AJ0W2Um+4hxNOLqLidWNUaQcILiAFQCghnDM nXqIsgEfBnMDWj5Eer8brno= =VK9+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Are you using any applets? I'm using xmms-kde and that tends to use a bit more cpu/mem than you might think. When my swap goes low, oomkill always goes for kicker first. - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/QhgZ+FOexA3koIgRAsAOAKCxORlk4q1+1vOexcoQMTLrgq46wACgkGfM zoY6rW07WjaF42m+SKNFlS4= =EEMD -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
