Hi Thank you all for useful tips on an earlier inquiry on the KDE 3.1 installation. Richard Bos: I followed your advice on using the apt. A nice piece of software that solved the entire process smoothly without any problems. I find the KDE 3.1 runs more efficiently and with less bugs than my previous installation SuSE 8.0 + KDE 3.04. However I encountered the following: Having installed KDE 3.1 I did get an icon on the K-menu allowing me to login to another user GUI desktop. Using <alt>F7 and <alt>F8 it was possible to switch between different logins. I did not have this facility before the KDE 3.1 installation. Now the icons has disappeared again. Do anyone know about this ? I have never seen any commercials for this nice feature and would really like to get it back again. Greateful for any help or information Sven
