[opensuse-kde] after upgrade to kde4-13 kmail does not work anymore
Hi guys, after upgrade to kde4-kmail does not work (oS 13.1 32bit). Inside akonadiconsole it seems all fine but kmail starts akonadi again and again. Unuseable. I've removed baloo-file. Crash on kde startup with "illegal instruction". Any hints ? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Please, as a start, check do you have libkgapi2-2 package from KDE:Current, should be at version 2.1.0. Cheers, Hrvoje

Hi Daniele, A couple of questions: - Did you logout/login after the upgrade ? - Did you remove any nepomuk packages during the upgrade or before you logged out ? The error messages you indicated seem to indicate that there is another mysql process running that holds the database and that part of nepomuk are no longer available. At what moment did you removed the nepomuk stuff ? As indicated based on your error messages, KMail still believes that nepomuk is running and tries to start the agents for it. Try: quit kmail, shut down akonadi, remove ~/.local/share/baloo then, try what happens. In any case, we'll likely have to submit Xapian package w/o SSE2 for 32bit arch to Update repos. Though that is not *immediate* solution, it would be bulletproof for (not) using baloo. Cheers, Hrvoje

Hello,
Side note, this is a clear example why I was against the new layout repo..
How is your issue related against the organization of KDE:Current?
I can't roll back to kde-4.12.*. I'm not sure about a working state of kmail now..
Daniele.
valid point.
on the other hand, I'm on KDE:Current on 12.3 and all is well here... no problems.
Cheers MH
..just upgraded on my 12.3, baloo is working indexing my Tb disk, but quite everything works, but, knotes, I used knotes to share infos between the two opensuse installed, sharing the /home/user/.kde4/share/apps/knotes/ folder, but now I cannot find where does knotes store the notes, if I create a new note it ask me where I would like to save the note showing me a many of [X]notes trees with inside folders like inbox, draft, sent mail, outbox..... as like it be an email tree..., where does the new knotes store the notes?? and how can I share them again having the other opensuse KDE4.11.xx?????:-) :-) :-) manythanks :-) ciao :-) pier -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

I've also got a report from another user via personal mail; seems Xapian is using SSE2 instructions, while you like have a CPU without those, correct?
Ok, this should be resolved with the next update from KDE:Current. I have build libxapian without SSE instructions for 32bit. Regards Raymond -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
