[opensuse-kde] How to get rid of HTML composing mails?
Hi, since today (on TW), when I compose new mail (answering to plain text mails is alright), KMail has started to compose mail in HTML. It is very annoying as I'm using only plain text and never set KMail to compose mails in HTML. Does anyone else experience the same? How to get rid of it? Now I must every time I write new mail click to the rich text toggle icon to get back to plain text. Thanks in advance, V. -- Vojtěch Zeisek Komunita openSUSE GNU/Linuxu Community of the openSUSE GNU/Linux https://www.opensuse.org/ https://trapa.cz/
I was getting that with the webmail of gmail for some time. then suddenly it has stopped. Sounds like a bug to me. I have not used kmail but i have used thunderbird, i did have to go in manually at times to set it one way or the other. I have found this too. It seems a recent problem. I have a a Rich Text button on my toolbar when composing and it is highlighted so it defaults to "on", just click it off. -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20171117 Qt: 5.9.2 KDE Frameworks: 5.40.0 KDE Plasma: 5.11.3 kwin 5.11.3 kmail2 5.6.3 akonadiserver 5.6.3 Kernel: 4.13.12-1-default Nouveau: 1.0.15_1.2 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Found it :-) Go to configure kmail -> composer You will see an unchecked box Reply or forward using HTML if present Check it, click apply, uncheck it, apply and now enjoy again plain text message :-) -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch Bareos Partner, openSUSE Member, fsfe fellowship GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks for the attempt. Doesn't work for me with a new email, didn't test it as a reply or forward as that doesn;t seem to be a problem. I also tried it stopping/starting kmail inbetween each config change. -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20171117 Qt: 5.9.2 KDE Frameworks: 5.40.0 KDE Plasma: 5.11.3 kwin 5.11.3 kmail2 5.6.3 akonadiserver 5.6.3 Kernel: 4.13.12-1-default Nouveau: 1.0.15_1.2 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Ah yeah I'vn't tried new mail which is bogus. Thanks for the link of bug report. In the meantime, perhaps one of our beloved packager can integrate that patch before the next one ? Don't know if the new release will happen soon (<15days) or further in December. -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch Bareos Partner, openSUSE Member, fsfe fellowship GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
