[opensuse-kde] Problem with KMail setting up an account to an IMAP server
I have a name and corresponding IP address in /etc/hosts like: 192.168.1.15 test When entering this name, test, in the text field for the name of the IMAP server, and pressing Autodetect in the tab Advanced, I get an error that the server can not be found. It is also not possible to enter an IP address in that field. I can make a connection using "ssh user@test" or do "ping test" Any suggestions? -- fr.gr. Does the server have IMAP port opened? What does nmap -r test say? -- Vojtěch Zeisek Komunita openSUSE GNU/Linuxu Community of the openSUSE GNU/Linux http://www.opensuse.org/ http://trapa.cz/cs

It was much simpler. I forgot to enable the IMAP server with systemctl so after a reboot the server did not start. Thanks for the prompt answer. -- fr.gr. Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
