[opensuse-kde] Request to have sysinfo fixed for openSUSE 11.3

Hi all, I am checking to see if sysinfo will be fixed by the time openSUSE 11.3 is released in July 2010. An update to KDE Platform Version 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2) "release 231" was done on openSUSE 11.2 today. It is still broken. The Driver field shows "Unknown" rather than the Nvidia driver version number. OpenSUSE Milestone 4 sysinfo is also broken. Any thoughts? Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

The idea is you have 2 directories: one with source, one with build. You messed that :) Go into one that is going to contain build (like kio_sysinfo-build) and execute cmake with path to directory with source at end. I would like to make a correction. The "make install" that I reported successfully was for openSUSE 11.2 KDE 4.42. Were you successful with openSUSE Milestone4? Here are the steps that I used: First, I removed and reinstalled kio_sysinfo. Logged out and re-logged in to KDE4. cd kio_sysinfo-build make clean cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/ -DSYSINFO_DISTRO:STRING=suse /home/roman/kio_sysinfo/ make su <typed in my password> make install Results The program on your computer which provides access to the sysinfo:/ protocol has unexpectedly terminated.
