[opensuse-kde] Where is mail kept?
I've had some glitch and several folders of my mail have disappeared from Kmail. I recall there is a place where all the mail is kept. What is it, so I can see if my missing stuff is there. -- Bob Rea www.petard.us www.petard.us/blog America, it was a wonderful country Til they took it private and made it a theme park of itself -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Depends if it's pop3 or imap. If you have pop3 it's stored in ~/.local/share/local-mail/ (look out for hidden folders inside the already hidden .local/) If you have imap the mail is stored on the server, and only cached locally in a mysql database. I'm still on KDE4 pim personally. But I don't think the locations will have changed if you're using KF5 based kdepim. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

And there it is. thanks. There is some of the lost stuff there. How do I connect them to Kmail folders They don't show up there.

Not 100% sure. But I would think you can import them to KMail with File -> Import messages... -> select "Import KMail maildirs and folder structure". -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Or just create a new maildir resource (Settings->Accounts->Add) and point it to that directory (in this case that isn't even necessary as it is the default directory).
