I've noticed something similar today, using Kmail (not Kmail2). I downloaded 40 copies of the same message (with a 27MB attachment) this morning. Are you using IMAP or POP3? My account is IMAP. I wasn't sure if it was Kmail, my ISP or the sender of the message, though they all had the same timestamp. Hi, I'm using POP3, i.e., pop.gmail.com and if I look to the gmail directly from web, there are no duplicate message. For me the most strange is that the duplication is random, not all messages are duplicated. and are not specific from some sender, mailing-list or personal. I don't understand. My kmail is that instaled with KDE 4.7 and running kmail --version is showed: Qt: 4.7.3 KDE Development Platform: 4.7.00 (4.7.0) "release 10" KMail: 4.7.0 Regards, -- Jose Thadeu Cavalcante -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Since it's gmail, try using it as IMAP, i.e. remove the pop account and add an IMAP-aacount. If that works I'd report it upstream at bugs.kde.org. Also check in kmail's settings what you have set as default action for version conflict. Maybe "keep both" results in what you see. Oh, how interesting! There is an option for conflicts! What setting do you recommend? I need to look in the Kmail2 settings, I have never seen this option before... need to find it. Regards, Hi Jose,
I no longer have the problem, as I've given up using KMail and moved to Thunderbird, which so far has behaved impeccably.
