Lets try Again !!! ---------------------------- Greeting'z,
I have been trying to fix this since Tuesday 09-05, due to stormy weather, I shutdown before leaving for the weekend, normally I rarely logout, let alone shutdwn.
Login (from KDM) is ok, while loading kde, (splash at stage: "restoring session") it freezes, all user procs seem stuck in stop/wait state (no zombies), must kill X (CAB),
I can login with other (normaly unused) uids, and root ok ( I never clutter up my root desktop ),
I can drop to init 3, login, startx, same result, mv .kde .kde-save and start fresh, loads fine, cp over my configs (except: Kgpg, Kpgp), and restart X, and it loads completely (although several panel applets, and superkaramba get left out)
But ( this is whats driving me crazy ), if I exit and startx again, same problem (its adding the kgpg, kpgp config back in,, but a clean kde init does not have them, most likely its referenced from kmail, have not yet disabled gpg from within kmail, yet)
Twice while testing ( adding one apps configs at a time), I got an error message stating that: GnuPG Agent is enabled, but the agent doesnt seem to be running, that I should disable it, or fix the agent. < see attachment (screenshot): kgpg-startup-error-1.jpg > !!!!!!!!!! WTF 30KB file limit on this list !!!!!!!! @$^*(^$##^&**%#^& !!!!!!!!!!
Disabling the agent through KGpg's config did not fix it.
On 09-05, I ran YOU, and found updates for gpg, and gpg2, but this had no effect ::
2006-09-05 17:59:50 (16992): Installing gpg2: "gpg2: This update fixes a segmentaion fault" 2006-09-05 17:59:44 (16992): Installing gpg: "gpg: This update fixes a segmentaion fault"
I did notice that after the previous run of YOU, w/ another gpg fix, that the time frame after I had a similar ( or the same ) problem, but after trying to login a couple times, it finally worked
2006-07-26 17:56:53 (660): Installing gpg2: "gpg2: Security update to fix crash on special crafted messages"
Nothing of relevnce in system logs:
/var/log/{localmessages,XFree86.0.log,Xorg.0.0.log,Xorg.0.log,kdm.log} /var/log/messages & /var/log/warn::

These are the files I can mv/rm and get the desktop loaded: .kde/share/config/kgpgrc .kde/share/config/kpgprc ---------- well, that is all I can think of to report, If anybody can help me fix this, I would greatly appriciate it.

and again, and again, and again, and ...........
Please fill bug in Bugzilla.
I'm sorry I can't do that, because I'm Not Authorized to file bugs through Novells bugzilla !
Although, Before Novell went FUBAR on SuSE, I used to be able to ! Just like I used to be able to Find Anything on SuSE's Web & FTP servers, which Always worked, but which Novell's seldom Ever do,
It's interresting to note that from the bugzilla's web page ( Submit a bug ) < https://bugzilla.novell.com/enter_bug.cgi > there are 2 pulldown menu's, if you initialy leave the first ( Classification: ) at the default "ALL" the second pulldown ( Product: ) shows a huge list, including: "SUSE LINUX 9.3" but when you click submit, you get this: "Permission Denied Sorry, either the product SUSE LINUX 9.3 does not exist or you aren't authorized to enter a bug into it."
but, If you select: "SUSE LINUX" from the "Classification" menu, you only get these options in the "Product" menu:
openSUSE 10.2 openSUSE.org SUSE LINUX 10.0 SUSE Linux 10.1
So, Which one should I select to file a bug on "SuSE Linux 9.3" ??!! Trying openSUSE.org
also, if you go back, and Try to select "Classification = ALL" again, the Product list is slightly longer, but only about 10%, of what it was originally, and aside from some other things, only has the 4 SuSE items above. <Crazy>
By the way, the openSUSE.org server times out -------
**/begin rant Why is it that Every Single thing Novell Aquires, they seem to utterly and completely turn into a worthless, bloated, broken, pile of shit, and then they throw it away ??!!??!!?? ( I wont even bother Listing the products they have destroyed ) 9.3 they didnt have the chance to screw with, 10.0 slightly broken, but not criticaly 10.1 very broken, but not completely 10.2 promisses to be excessivly broken, and unnecesarily bloated 10.3 should be completely broken, and worthless 11.0 suse is DEAD, they throw it away, like every other pot of gold that has landed in there lap !!!!
The Only good thing they have done with My Beloved SuSE, is push her into the public ( although it was more like a pink slip, and 3 burly security guards with billy clubs and tassers, say'n "pack yer shit and hit the curb B!^@%" ! )
Now we can just take the Uniquely SuSE parts: YaST, SaX, and SuSEconfig, and start over. !! **/end rant
you can directly reassign bug to kssingvo@novell.com (gpg) and add me pnemec@novell.com to cc (gpg2)
Would you like me to send it direct to: kssingvo@novell.com ,with cc: pnemec@novell.com ----- After a Pain-in-the-ass attempt to: 1: creat a new account to match this addy 2: find where the bugzilla url is hiding ( navigation on novells web site, is absolut shit, I could find answers on a site in a language i cant understand easier !! Personally I'd rather Amputate my own legs then try to find anything usefull on that server ) such a wonderfull buisness decision, lets hide the information people need, and make it damn near impossible to to find it,, errrgggg WTF ?? 3: acttually filling the damn bug, could they possibly make any more obtuse ?? SuSE's Old bug filling system worked Perfectly Every Friggn Time !!!!! < its this same reason that its impossible to succesfully unsubscribe from these lists for most people >
Finnaly !! filed as::
Bug 204651 - Login problem on SuSE 9.3; possibly related to KGpg + gpg-agent
----- PS. Please excuse my diatribe of complaints. PSS. was not aimed at you: Pavel, or any one else on these lists. ----- Zarantu

Yes, I am, was, and Did,,,,
I already have a Primary account, as a Novell Customer, but I don't want that address/name in bugzilla, for the spam-bots..
So, I created, another account, specificly, with This email address, so that it would match up in a Logical fashion mailing list + bugzilla = same user, make's more sense this way.
But, alas, Screwed Again::
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=204651 ------- Comment #1 from vrb@novell.com 2006-09-08 15:43 MST ------- The openSUSE.org product in Bugzilla is only for problems with the openSUSE wiki or with Bugzilla itself. Please reassign to correct product/component.
Reassign to What ???
SuSE 10.0 ???? maybe OES ? or NetWare 4.0 ? ya, maybe I could file it as a bug in NDS ?
