Hello. I have installed KDE 3.0.1 from the SuSE ftp server and i have edited the files that are mentioned in the Unofficial FAQ for installing KDE3 in 7.3. Everything is OK but the big problem is that KDM does not start. It tries to start 3 times but it fails with the following message from the Ctrl-F10 console: "----------------------- May 26 18:51:51 linux kdm[3095]: Greeter exited unexpectedly May 26 18:51:51 linux kdm[3095]: Abnormal helper termination, code 0, signal 11 May 26 18:51:55 linux kdm[3101]: Greeter exited unexpectedly May 26 18:51:55 linux kdm[3101]: Abnormal helper termination, code 0, signal 11 May 26 18:51:58 linux kdm[3107]: Greeter exited unexpectedly May 26 18:51:58 linux kdm[3107]: Abnormal helper termination, code 0, signal 11 May 26 18:52:02 linux kdm[3113]: Greeter exited unexpectedly May 26 18:52:02 linux kdm[3113]: Abnormal helper termination, code 0, signal 11 May 26 18:52:02 linux kdm[3093]: Display :0 is being disabled (restarting too fast) -----------------------" Notice that GDM and XDM works fine....
