[opensuse-kde] Where is the application kst?
When I read the information about the KDE application kst e.g. on http://kst.kde.org, it looks as if there should be an executable /usr/bin/kst. However, when I install kst using the openSUSE repositories, only files in /usr/lib64/ are installed. After installation of the packet kst the command kst can not be found. Is there something missing in the kst packet? I should mention that a kst.pot did exist in the kde.org repository for KDE. However, currently such a file does not exist. I also searched websvn.kde.org and could not find the sources of kst. Very strange that kst.kde.org still exists and also openSUSE does have a kst packet. -- fr.gr. I tried installing kst from KDF (4.6.0) on 11.3 64-bit. For me the package includes the binary: /usr/bin/kst2 With what KDE version/flavour do you have a problem? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I am a fan of kst. These days, the installed binary is called kst2, even though the package is still called kde. I only use the 32-bit version. So I do not know if there are issues with the 64-bit install. The files in the 32-bit version are: /usr/bin/dirfile_maker_new /usr/bin/kst2 /usr/lib/kst/* /usr/lib/libkst2* -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O. The files in the 32-bit version are:
/usr/bin/dirfile_maker_new /usr/bin/kst2 /usr/lib/kst/* /usr/lib/libkst2*
I don't have the first file in the packet, but now I found the second one, /usr/bin/kst2, in the packet, I overlooked it because it was the only one written in bold characters in YaST, so it looked more like a title. The reason for asking was that a colleague translator used to do the translation in the .po files. But I could not find the .pot file for kst in KDE. The version in the repository of openSUSE does not contain any translations. This is to be expected when the .po and .pot files are not available in the KDE source repositories. However Debian does contain .po files. -- fr.gr. Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

It doesn't even look like a KDE app. It looks like a pure Qt thingy. Look at the "About" dialog or the configuration dialog. Maybe they dropped KDE when they ported it to Qt4 or something. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I know, but look at http://kst.kde.org . It looks to be part of KDE. -- fr.gr. Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

It says "Note that KDE libraries are an optional dependency (i.e. you can run Kst without KDE, but you get additional features when running on a platform with KDE)" I think it's absolutely possible they dropped KDE-translations or smth. -- Regards, Minton. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
