[opensuse-kde] Plasma 5 trash bin shows a folder
Hi everybody, Looks Plasma 5 has Trash represented by a folder rather than a trash bin icon. Is this intentional or is one on the way? -- Cheers! Roman ICQ: 551368250 ==============

I believe this is intentional.
I really thought it was an oversight. Assigning a trash icon is the traditional way of identifying and differentiating a regular folder from a trash folder. This is a great way to lose the trash folder by users accidentally deleting the trash folder. I'm wondering how people that have problems with their vision are going to find this trash folder. Every OS geared for the home and professional markets use a trash bin icon. Please bring back the trash can icon!! Cheers! Roman, where's your kde bug number report ? Just ranting here, where it is not the best appropriate place is just like throwing bits to /dev/null ;-) -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member & Board, fsfe fellowship GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Before posting a bug report, I would suggest to write in the KDE Visual Design Group forum on forum.kde.org as the people there are very responsive. -- Luca Beltrame - KDE Forums team KDE Science supporter GPG key ID: A29D259B

I'm just passionate about KDE. I've been using the KDE DE for the last 15 years. My first distro was Mandrake 7. I believe it was KDE2. I usually report the bug report first but I just wanted to discuss this ;-) before reporting it. It looks like the people that designed the icon theme left out the two trash icons. When I switch back to the oxygen icons the trash icon reappears. -- Cheers! Roman, where's your kde bug number report ? Just ranting here, where it is not the best appropriate place is just like throwing bits to /dev/null ;-) Sometimes reporting bugs in bugs.kde.org is also like throwing bits into /dev/null. i've got 5 "Unconfirmed" bugs sitting there not even looked at. Its always best to post to mailing lists as well, that sometimes spurs people into action to at least look at the bug, not that its happened to my bugs yet. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
