Monitor switches off before KDE login site appears
Hi all, after having installed (successfully) Suse 9.3 on a Dell OptiPlex GX620 with a Ultrasharp 1905 FP monitor I meet the following problem. While booting, everything works fine until the moment the login window usually should appear. Right at that moment on the screen appears a message like "videomodus not available" or something similar and then the monitor switches off. This is the case even though during the installation process the monitor and its resolution is identified correctly. The starting option splash=0 does not change the described behaviour. Does anybody have a hint? Thanks in advance! Salva
