[opensuse-kde] Deleting unwanted directories in $HOME
I have tried deleting all the directories thru System Settings that KDE creates in $HOME as I do not need them nor what them. Eachtime I restart X, KDE or my machine, they are all recreated. This is on oS 11.2 with KDE 4.3.4. On my oS 11 install, I do not have this problem. My question is how can I once and for all delete these directories permanently? They are: Documents, Download, Music, Pictures & Videos. TIA ne... -- Registered Linux User # 125653 (http://counter.li.org) Now accepting personal mail for GMail invites. Think possibly you need to remove those things from path section in systemsettings -> About me Personally I also find this xgd standard black magic annoying. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Think possibly you need to remove those things from path section in systemsettings -> About me That's what I did, and they keep on returning. A grep thru $HOME/.kde4 shows .kde4/share/config/kdeglobals with [Paths] which only contains 'Trash'.

Along the same line, when is $HOME going to be fixed to not default to $HOME/Documents because $XDG_DOCUMENTS is set to $HOME/Documents. With this setting every opening of a term window or app occurs in ~/Documents rather than ~/. ? tks -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
