[opensuse-kde] The hardware repository of openSUSE 11.4 ruins the configuration of the package nut
The hardware repository of openSUSE 11.4 in: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/hardware/openSUSE_11.4/ ruins the configuration of the package nut and its dependencies. When updating to that version it deletes the nut-classic package, which I do need. -- fr.gr. not sure where this fits in opensuse- kde but... (Perhaps Knut?) Anyway what you are seeing is expected behaviour, you just need to choose what you want more, The nut packages from hardware, or the original nut- classic. If you protect nut-classic then the nut package from hardware will not try to upgrade itself. (or will at least warn you if it does) Generally, If I see something I need or want from a non-standard repo then I add the repo to yast, install the packages I need, then de-activate that repo until I need it again. Watch out for changed dependencies though. I have a large list of de-activated repos so that I can install things w/ a minimum of hassle, all i need do is activate, Install, De-activate. see ya dh -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
