I've just noticed that my kuickshow appears to have vanished since picking up the latest (3.3.0-12) kdegraphics3. It doesn't appear to be in the rpm, although it claims to provide (in the 'provides' info) /opt/kde3/bin/kuickshow. It also seems to be absent from the 3.3.0-10 package. It's still in the kde menu, and graphics files attempt to open in it, but fail since it isn't on my system. Martin Farmilo

Hmm. I have it on my SuSE 9.1 system running KDE 3.3: $ which kuickshow /opt/kde3/bin/kuickshow $ kuickshow --version Qt: 3.3.2 KDE: 3.3.0 KuickShow: 0.8.6 $ rpm -ql kdegraphics3 | grep kuickshow /opt/kde3/bin/kuickshow /opt/kde3/lib/kde3/kuickshow.la /opt/kde3/lib/kde3/kuickshow.so /opt/kde3/lib/libkdeinit_kuickshow.la /opt/kde3/lib/libkdeinit_kuickshow.so /opt/kde3/share/applications/kde/kuickshow.desktop /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow/im_palette.pal /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow/pics /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow/pics/about.png /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow/pics/calibrate.png /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow/pics/handcursor.png /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow/pics/imageviewer-medium.png /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow/pics/imageviewer-small.png /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow/pics/ksslide.png /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow/pics/kuickshow-day.jpg /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow/pics/kuickshow-night.jpg /opt/kde3/share/apps/kuickshow/pics/logo.png /opt/kde3/share/doc/HTML/en/kuickshow /opt/kde3/share/doc/HTML/en/kuickshow/common /opt/kde3/share/doc/HTML/en/kuickshow/index.cache.bz2 /opt/kde3/share/doc/HTML/en/kuickshow/index.docbook /opt/kde3/share/doc/HTML/en/kuickshow/screenshot.png /opt/kde3/share/icons/crystalsvg/16x16/apps/kuickshow.png /opt/kde3/share/icons/crystalsvg/32x32/apps/kuickshow.png /opt/kde3/share/icons/locolor/16x16/apps/kuickshow.png /opt/kde3/share/icons/locolor/32x32/apps/kuickshow.png -Ti

It has been moved into the new package kdegraphics3-imaging in the latest supplementary feed for my version of SuSE, 9.0. I use System Update in YAST to update KDE and this picked up the new package as a new requirement. Regards, -- Colin Pinkney http://www.cpinkney.org.uk

Right - just went & looked for the new package, installed it, and now kuickshow is back ! Obviously Red Carpet *didn't* notice it had moved. Martin Farmilo
