[opensuse-kde] QtCurve second look.
In the past I had advocated switching to QtCurve as default since it seems to integrate the various toolkits better. The primary objection was that it did not perform as well as Oxygen. With the latest theme I created, I took to a minimalist approach of leess is more. Thus, the background gradient is almost non existent and I didn't use any sort of background image. This minor change to the way I did my custom themes has radically affected performance, such that I no longer see any difference between QtCurve and Oxygen. Please see the screenshot to behold Mozilla, GTK, KDE, and whatever TK Libre Office uses living in near perfect harmony. The inspiration for this theme was from Mandriva 2011. http://wstaw.org/m/2011/09/03/qtharmony.png If there is any curiosity in regards to other thematic changes: Faenza-Cupertino icon theme (I like the clean buttony square look) Oxywin Plasma theme (brilliantly well done may I add, no glitches.) Droid Sans font everywhere (its nice and clean and smooth) QtCurve color scheme I removed the Menu Bar from Firefox since it looks less cluttered and gives me a little more screen real estate on my netbook. A note; If you haven't tried Clementine you totally should. I tried it and never looked at another music player again. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I´ve been using Qtcurve for quite some time now and I really love how much you can customize it. I think it is one if not the most customizable style. I´ve never had any performance issues with Qtcurve, running with Nvidia G210M and 2,2 Ghz x64 Intel CPU.
