Hello Hal, to help you, you should state what you want to do with your computer(s). Is it a single mashine which you want to connect to the internet. If, how (modem, ISDN, DSL, etc.)? If you have more computers you want to connect which operating systems are running on them.? What do you want to use the network for (client only, file server, shared access to the internet, etc.)? Should other machines be connected to the internet? What is the role of the Linux machine in your network (router, desktop computer, etc.)? cu Stefan
