[opensuse-kde] Qtcurve style with Qt 4.8.0
In order to get rid of the black screen issue with recent KDE 4.7.x releases I updated to Qt 4.8.0. This solves the issue. But, Qtcurve looks terrible with this version of Qt. There are no borders, no lines around input fields. Who uses Qtcurve as well and has borders and lines set for input boxes and buttons? It would be nice if someone could send me his Qtcurve configuration. It can be found at ~/.kde4/share/apps/QtCurve Or can someone point me to the settings option in the KDE style settings where I can add borders in Qtcurve to input boxes and buttons? This is all I want, more borders and lines. Thanx Malte -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Thanx Malte I love my QtCurve. Thats a bummer that it gets borked. I found that background images and some other elements really slow the performance of it, but the "Eleganzaextravaganza" attached is elegant and performs comparably to Oxygen. The other two tend to be slower.

Thanx a lot. I tested the extravaganza just with Qt 4.7.4, I just downgraded. But I may upgrade to Qt 4.7.8 again. Malte -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Malte I hope you enjoy it, by far it is my favorite that I have made. I also configured my setup to not put icons on buttons... it makes for a cleaner look. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Ok, now tested with Qt 4.7.8 and it looks some kind of awkward to my eyes. This Qt version seems to remove most lines and borders. I don´t know if Qt can be configured. Malte Sounds like there is an issue in QtCurve upstream with the newer version of Qt. See if you can make a bug report to QtCurve developers. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I think this is more a Qt 4.7.8 issue. It happens to the Oxygen style as well, Qt 4.7.8 simply eliminates most of borders and lines, no matter what style you use. But, there is now a fixed Qt version for KDE 4.7.1 available, Ismail just sent word a few threads below.
