[opensuse-kde] kstartconfig
Hello SuSE people, Right after logging in for any user, my 10.2, KDE3.5.7 puts up a little window that says, "Could not start kstartconfig - Check your configuration" I can't seem to find a file of that name. Is it in /opt, /etc ? Where would I look ? Any ideas as to what has gone wrong? Would be that kstartupconfig? (Sorry, I use openSUSE 11.0, it might be different name in 10.2) /opt/kde3/bin/ -- Regards, Rajko http://en.opensuse.org/Portal needs helpful hands. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Thanks for answering Rajko. Yes, it would. Excuse the feeble old guy. Yep, it's there. Don't do me much good though. It's an executable. Guess I need to find a kstartup.conf or something similar. No. Rather, as the message says, check your system, things like free disk space, $PATH and so on. Logging into a failsafe session and running something like 'strace -f -o logfile.txt startkde' should help to find it if there's nothing obvious. -- Lubos Lunak KDE developer -------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s.r.o. e-mail: l.lunak@suse.cz , l.lunak@kde.org Lihovarska 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 972 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
