I have configured two virtual desktops (user), but everytime I login to KDE as user, there is only one virt. Desktop left? Where has the other one gone? Laurent Asorne -- Linux is like an indian tent: no Windows, no Gates and an Apache inside

Could be you need to add the pager applet. Right click somewhere in the panel, choose add / applet / pager.

check the configuration of the pannel, to make sure there are still two desktops configures, and if there are two there , check your yast -> desktop -> multiple desktops section and make sure there are two there... if you find that one of them doesn't show two desktops, reset it to two, hit apply ... be sure to hit apply , and you *should* have two show up in your pager, which , of course is how you switch back and forth between them quickly. ;) -- j -- nemo me impune lacessit it's just an afterthought; okay ? : A cynic is only a frustrated optimist.

kde settings are user specific. If you did set the number of desktops for one user, it does not affect the number of desktops other users see. If this is not helping you, be more specific:
I have configured two virtual desktops (user)
where did you configure them? Why do you set "(user)" behind it?
I login to KDE as user
why you need to login again? Changed setting in kde are usually immediately effective. Or is the change of desktop numbers only lost after you re-login? HTH, Matt
