[opensuse-kde] KMail2, email vanished. no 2
On my KMail2 I received an email which after I read it just vanished. Went with midnight commander to the folder and found that the email had an different naming than everything else. It starts with { and ends with }. I have renamed it with something more similar to everything else and now the email is there again. The original email was named: {8fa605a2-f331-4858-892a-c420df7d6b9d} This is something I really dislike. I am not yet able to reproduce the original email. Otherwise I would send this email to interested parties and find out whether the symptom can be repeated. The email was sent from an yahoo account. Just send several emails and two of them vanished also. They are not any more in the folder but can be found with midnight commander with the curly marks in front and at the end. These emails were written in and send with kmail2. It seems a kmail2 problem then. Already a bug report out for this misbehavior? -- Linux User 183145 using LXDE and KDE4 on a Pentium IV , powered by openSUSE 11.4 (i586) Kernel: 3.0.0-7-desktop LXDE WM & KDE Development Platform: 4.7.00 (4.7.0) 15:18pm up 21:01, 3 users, load average: 4.09, 4.58, 3.87 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I have now sent a reply to your message, both to the openSUSE list and to your email address. Did you receive the reply to your email address properly? I am not aware of such a bug. I can read all emails I receive and sending works properly too.... Both emails are received and there. The misbehavior can also be found in the /kmail2/autosave. Instead of filing this email during writing it in /kmail2/autosave/new where it should find its place I just discovered the unfinished email under /autosave. Where the four identical emails in the folder list under the header KMail Folders are to be found is something I am still looking for. They can be read but not deleted. Must be some hole where some emails vanish ;) or perhaps are only misplaced. -- Linux User 183145 using LXDE and KDE4 on a Pentium IV , powered by openSUSE 11.4 (i586) Kernel: 3.0.0-7-desktop LXDE WM & KDE Development Platform: 4.7.00 (4.7.0) 08:50am up 10:24, 3 users, load average: 0.88, 1.29, 1.48 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
