[opensuse-kde] KMenu in 47
Hello, i have updated KDE to Release:47. And now the KMenu is not so as in opensuse 11.4. I missing the "New Programms" and I missing the left arrow in menus to go back in menus. Is there one change to bring back the original opensuse 11.4 functionality <http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&p=Ci4HO3kMAA&search=functionality&trestr=0x8001>? eRiC -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

No idea. Only the devs can answer that really. It's not bugging me much as I seldom use it, preferring a auto hiding side panel for my most used apps. Though I do use the Fav's section of kickoff, but seldom go any further than that. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I also am wondering about the missing arrow, breadcrumbs are fine, but require moving the mouse further than the previous method slowing down the users work flow. Is there a way to turn the arrow back on? I haven't had a chance to check for the new programs markings see ya dh -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

According to this: http://www.kde.org/announcements/4.7/plasma.php The breadcrumbs is the new style now. Commence cursing. the announcement says "addition of breadcrumbs to the Kickoff application launcher" nothing about removal of the previous method.

cursing commences as suggested ;-)

Moving from the bottom to top of a menu and aiming at the small breadcrumb can be much more time consuming than moving 1/2 inch to the left And yes I also use other methods, but If I choose to use the (kickoff) menu, it should not get in my way. It took a long time for me to move to kickoff from the traditional menu. I could go into a rant, but time is limited :-) BTW thank you all KDE related developers and packagers for your hard work, although I am dismayed by some usability choices (transparancy, horizontal scrolling, etc), your work is truly appreciated see ya dh -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

see ya dh I'm actually getting OK with it now, it seems quicker and you can aim exactly where you want to go back to.

Sorry. But it is not fixed. Is the patch in kdebase4-workspace? Then this package has an error. Can you please fix it? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Sorry. "New Programms" is now visible. But the left arrow is missing more. Here I see it: http://userbase.kde.org/File:Kickoff_Menu_Add_Favorites.png eRiC -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

But more important (at least for me): Even with the missing visual left arrow for mouse users, the cursor left key on keyboard still works! ;-) Herbert -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
