Hi Mike! Normally you should aks such a question to the list too. Perhaps there are other eople who want to know, perhaps I tell you s.th. wrong and anybody knows better. You have to update at very least the base packages (kdebase3, kdelibs3, qt3.1) and i suggest you update all the packages, where you have installed an older version by now. I used those packages from kde.org for my SuSE 7.3 and after some minor tweaking I had no problems at all.
