Re: [suse-kde] KDE 3.1 @ LinuKS SuSE avail yet?
Hi Mike! Normally you should aks such a question to the list too. Perhaps there are other eople who want to know, perhaps I tell you s.th. wrong and anybody knows better. You have to update at very least the base packages (kdebase3, kdelibs3, qt3.1) and i suggest you update all the packages, where you have installed an older version by now. And then you can install all the other packages you want. No magic. Daniel Am Mittwoch, 12. Februar 2003 01:21 schrieb Mike Miller:

Hello All,
The SuSE LinuKS page : http://www.suse.com/us/private/download/linuks/index.html says that KDE
3.1
will be available there for 8.1 after Feb 11th. It is now the 11th but
the
content of the page is the same Jan 29th, 2003 and Oct 10, 2002 packages that were there last week. Does anyone know if or when the SuSE KDE 3.1 material will be avail?

I think SuSE wants to test the packages better before releasing. Lesser
bugs
ismore important than catching deadlines as they fly by.
If you need them desperately, you canuse the ones located at ftp.kde.org.
They
are built by SuSE, too, but not supported by SuSE in any way.
I used those packages from kde.org for my SuSE 7.3 and after some minor tweaking I had no problems at all.
Greets, Daniel
