[opensuse-kde] 13.1 packaging issues / polish
Hey I'm testing 13.1, and I noticed a couple of important and (presumably) easy to fix issues. 1) kde-gtk-config is not installed by default, not even when pulling 'recommended' packages. I guess it needs to be added to the pattern? 2) Shouldn't we also include 'kde-mplayer-thumbnailer' in the default install, and enable video thumbnails in Dolphin by default? Other than that it's looking pretty good so far -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Hey
Hi Martin,
1) kde-gtk-config is not installed by default, not even when pulling 'recommended' packages. I guess it needs to be added to the pattern? Hm, i guess it never replaced gtk-config in patterns. Can be easily resolved.
2) Shouldn't we also include 'kde-mplayer-thumbnailer' in the default install, and enable video thumbnails in Dolphin by default? For this i'm not sure, as this would mean activating previews in general (not a big deal), and second, it would "collide" with ffpmegthumbs (which is not in the distro, but it does work, in my experience, much better).
Other than that it's looking pretty good so far That's good to hear :-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

I didn't mean activate previews when browsing folders. I meant the equivalent of the user currently needing to go to Configure Dolphin -> General -> Preview -> and check "Video Files (MPlayerThumbs)", after installing 'kde-mplayer- thumbnailer' Same place the user could choose ffmpegthumbs instead if installed ;-) Mplayerthumbs isn't too bad if you switch from phonon to mplayer backend, but of course using mplayer as default is not an option ;-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
