For some reason that I have not been able to fathom, printing in KDE via CUPS no longer works. It worked yesterday, but not today. Today I get the error message "There was an error loading kdeprint_cups. The diagnostic message was" and that's it. The cups daemon is up and running. KDE Control center also shows the same error message when bringing up the printer dialog. Does anyone have any clues where to begin? Make sure in /usr/share/cups and /usr/lib/cups they are all set to root:root I can pull up the printers in Konq|PrintSystem|Manager, but when I print to it, I get: A print error occured. I fixed this problem by renaming the .kde and .kde2 and .kderc files and restarting KDE3. -ronc -- 7:21pm up 3 days, 9:06, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.02, 0.01

Could you please be a little more specific? Which files did you rename to what? I have been struggling with this for some time now.
