[opensuse-kde] KDE 4.3 network manager not showing wireless connected
I just upgraded to final release KDE 4.3 and network manager no longer switches to the wireless icon when I'm connected to a WLAN. This was working in all the release candidates just fine. It only displays information for wired connections. Attached is a screen shot showing PC connected to wireless, but network manager only showing status for wired connection. Thanks, James
Hi y'all, I can confirm this too, it simply stopped connecting. Now I'm connecting with cnetworkmanager -C myapname --wep-hex=0123456789 after killing KNetworkManager Saludos Azael -- -- El mundo apesta y vosotros apestais tambien -- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Doesn't work nicely for me either since updating yesterday. But you should note that the KDE4 KNetworkManager is *not* a part of the KDE 4.3 release. It's on it's own schedule. The knm4 packages available via openSUSE Build Service repositories are svn snapshots of unreleased stuff - and should be judged as such. Afaik Will is aware of the issues, and I'm sure he's frantically hacking away, maybe a better package is already making it's way through the OBS. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Should be fixed with the next update, for a workaround see http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=528083 Bye Christian -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Open the connection manager (right-click the icon) and go to the "other settings" tab. Move all devices in the list below the "icon 1". Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Sven That worked for me. Thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
