Is anyone using imap on Kmail 1.9.3?
I'm having problems setting up imap and I'm hoping that someone is using imap and kmail 1.9.3 who can tell me what setting they have in their kmailrc file. I need to set a subfolder called "mail" as the base mail directory. I cannot find any options in kmail to do that, so I'm hoping that some setting in the kmailrc file will do the trick. Thanks in advance. Eddie

kmail figures out by itself what namespace to use. However, when you're using an old imap server it may encounter problems determining the namespace. So, what imap server are you subscribing to? -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless

I am using imap-2004c_suse-2 on SUSE Linux 10.0. Assuming that kmail is having problems figuring out the namespace, how can I help out? The namespace setting in kmailrc are: Namespace:=/ Namespace:#ftp/=/ Namespace:#mh/=/ Namespace:#mhinbox= Namespace:#news.=. Namespace:#public/=/ Namespace:#shared/=/ Namespace:~=/ Considering that I want kmail to use the "mail" directory in the user's home area, what should I enter where in order to achieve this? (The path for the user's home area is /home/pgrads/username) Thanks Eddie

I would ask this question on kdepim-users@kde.org (see https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-users) - the KMail maintainers have the best knowledge about things like IMAP namespaces. regards Will

Actually, I've started using Thunderbird. Had none of the kmail problems and it responds faster. Eddie
