conversion from mbox (KMail) to Outlook
Hi everybody, I am forced to use linux and Windows on the same machine, which works quite good. But there is one problem I was unable to solve: I can import all my Outlook Express mail-folders to KMail (mbox), but there seems to be no way to reimport those mails back to Outlook (neither Express nor Outlook 2000). Resending all those mails and downloading them with Outlook won't work, since there are about 100 MB stored in those folders. Can anybody help? Without the option to move between KMail and Outlook I am forced to to all my email with Windows. Cheers, Torsten

Are you able to access your email as an IMAP account? If so, both programs will access the IMAP folders just fine. That is how I do it between work (Windows, where I use Eudora) and home (Linux with KMail).
I managed to do it! It is not so fast, but tricky! Get the mbox file from KMAIL home dir. Install 'NETSCAPE 4.79' in Winzoz. Then copy mbox files into the user directory, usually 'x:\Program files\Netscape\Users\identity\Mail. They will be automatically translated/indexed for Netscape (the format is the same, indexes are different! so copy only mbox file!!!) Then from Outlook Express You can import Netscape 4.79 mail files (don't try with Netscape6/Mozilla, it won't work!)
