[opensuse-kde] openSuse 10.3 + xrandr
Hi list, in KDE 3.5.8 (44.1) for openSuse 10.3, when I open kcontrol -> peripherals -> display, I can not change the resolution of the screen anymore. Instead I get a message like "your X server uses xrandr >= 1.2 which has no configuration options yet" ... Why that ? When I compile/install kdebase/kcontrol/randr from current KDE svn (3.5 branch), I get again the usual randr possibilities like changing resolution etc. Why is this missing in the Suse compilation ? -- Best regards/Schöne Grüße Martin () ascii ribbon campaign - against html mail /\ - against microsoft attachments --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

it is a patch that disables xinerama configuration modules if xrandr >= 1.2 is used.

not really, you get the xinerama configuration (the compat layer over randr 1.2).

see above :) I tend to think that I should remove this patch, but I haven't had time yet to test what exactly would be broken. -- RPMLINT information under http://en.opensuse.org/Packaging/RpmLint --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
